Volta - Elegant & Unobstructive Lighting

Volta (meaning arch in Catalan), is a new lighting series with a beautiful arched silhouette that opens up to many decorative suspension lamp combinations, with a curved metallic body, cylindrical aluminium heads and acrylic lens diffusers. It features transparent nylon cables with adjustable height that lets you create your own combination with only two different models.

Designed by designer-duo Nahtrang, it's the perfect series of lamps for interiors needing elegant and unobstructive decorative lighting.

Also available is the Volta wall lamp with a curved arm, a cylindrical aluminium head and bottom acrylic lens diffuser. It can be swivelled 180° and stored along the wall when not used. It comes in two different sizes, a perfect reading lamp and a decorative wall lamp!

Button - The Road to global recognition & Reddot Award 2016 winner.

A dynamic and futurist lighting designed by Francesc Rifé, Button won the Reddot Award 2016 in the Lighting design category.

Designed and produced under eco-design criteria, methodology applied aimed at environmental improvement in all processes of life, since its creation in the conceptual stage, production, performance and treatment as waste actions, Button is a unique lamp: works as a shelf, can illuminate a large space but also a corner in particular; light sources can move between them and they are regulated independently.

The hallmarks of the Button luminaire are straight lines, sinuous and rounded forms based on the designer minimalism concepts.

The awards for Button, which already has received the #MetropolisLikes in 2015 on the occasion of BDNY, don’t end here. This April, and simultaneously the Reddot Award 2016, it has been awarded with the Adex Platinum Award.

Zorro table - swish, swish, swish!

Words by its creators, Swedish design collective Note:

"For French design manufacture La Chance we created a new series of tables named Zorro, inspired by the character created by pulp writer Johnston McCulley and especially his distinctive mark – the Z made with three quick cuts of his blade. The Z appears in the table by how the legs are combined to each other, by using transparent materials for the two table tops the Z mark will always be visible".

Out now in two options: blue glass & marble/smoked glass. From 8.900 dkk, 11.200 sek/nok

The Estiluz Augmented Reality App – Real Size Lamps In Any Space!

One of the most satisfactory sides of my job as an agent is when I get to hit the road and meet the clients. And although scheduling appointments with buyers and prescribers of design can be tricky at times (they lead a busy life), when it all comes together and I get to introduce a brand or a new product, it’s great fun.

Last week’s road trip to Stockholm and Gothenburg was on a whole new level, as I had some special help in Spanish lighting manufacturer Estiluz’ Augmented Reality App. As the name reveals, it’s an app that shows the user the lamp in real size, in any space, good for domestic and professional use.

All that’s required is an Ipad (Iphone or Android also works), the downloaded app (it’s free) and printed markers (for the wall, floor and ceiling lamps). Then you’re set to go…or show... Select a lamp of your liking, changing colours or even viewing it from different angles. When you’re satisfied with your selection – share it!

It’s a real a breath-taker that makes the work of architects, interior designers, stylist and other prescribers just a lot easier. This revolutionary new technology is also a good indication where the industry is heading, with this interaction we no longer need to try to get a potential client or wife/husband to visualize, we simply show them what we have in mind, i.e. wall lamps in a hotel lobby, a pendant in a restaurant or floor lamp in that tricky kitchen corner at home.

See a video of how the app works.

With a sharp eye for patterns...

...textures and colours, Simon Key Bertman’s textiles have received considerable international recognition over the past years.

His cushions, throws, rugs and unique pieces are not the arbitrary sum of fibres put together, but the encounter between threads in a meaningful sense.

His use of shading and colours reveals a complex line of thought, allowing playful experiments and mathematics sequences.

Conceptual dimensions and suggestive play with form add visual textures and a unique textile expression to rooms and spaces.

Simon Key Bertman founded his textile label 2005 in Stockholm.
